She graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design with a BFA in Visual Communications in 1997. Nancy moved to Vancouver, BC in the year 2000 and resides there with her husband and 2 children. She enjoys working as a graphic designer and aspires to become a children’s book author and illustrator.
Rachael Cheung loves all sea creatures, especially octopuses and crabs. Rachael has eczema and has tried everything to maintain daily comfort. Nothing is in our control but we can change the way we think and the way we act. Her faith and positive attitude gets her through her toughest days. Rachael believes everyone goes through their own personal struggles but we can choose to enjoy the things that makes us happy. She also believes all children deserve to eat REAL ice cream and not the dairy-free kind (which she did for years)! Rachael hopes Pink’s Ink will help others who have eczema, to let them know they are not alone. She wants to spread understanding, acceptance and awareness…to treat everyone with kindness.
Pink’s Ink is Nancy’s first children’s book which was inspired by her daughter, Rachael. Nancy’s biggest fans are her children who encourage her to keep creating new stories. Currently, Nancy is working on another inspiring story with Pink and her friends, Chuck and Stella.
Some of Nancy’s favourite things include: NY Cheesecake, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, Stand By Me by Stephen King, and “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength Phil4:13” – The Bible.
Rachael enjoys painting, singing, playing her guitar and of course, ice cream!
Some of Rachael’s favourite things include: Moon mist ice cream, Beautiful Oops– by Barney Saltzberg, The Greatest Showman directed by Michael Gracey, and “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer Romans 12:12” – The Bible.
